As lead agency for the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), in 2016 Commotion undertook the strategic rebrand of the RASV’s three existing annual epicure awards programs, and the introduction of two new program brands. Informed by stakeholder and industry interviews, the development of customer personas and the insightful definition of vision, mission and values, a bold reimagining of all brands has been an instant and ongoing success, driving record program participation, boosting industry credibility and elevating consumer recognition.
Bold, fearless and distinctive – just as per the innovators the program seeks to represent and champion – the Australian Distilled Spirit Awards have rocketed from zero to hero in 3 short years. Already internationally established as a symbol of distilling excellence, the awards set records year upon year, with over 80% of Australian distillers now participating, and entry numbers soaring 74% in the last 2 years.
Stylishly distinctive, the strategically reimagined Australian International Coffee Awards symbol is keenly sought by roasters for use across their packaging, point of sale and digital communications as testament to product excellence. Since rebranding, the program has welcomed a record number of entries from 186 local and international roasters and awarded a record number of medals.
The rebrand of Australia’s most prestigious wine awards program, and the introduction of the newly created Australian Food Awards haven't just excited growing numbers of participants, they’ve created export opportunities as never before, with a striking suite of promotional collateral strategically striking gold with potential new global markets and their buyers across a highly successful series of international expos.
